Unedited Footage of a Bear: The Video is Just the Beginning

At this point, I can't even recall if I watched "Too Many Cooks" all the way through. I certainly didn't do it in one sitting. Adult Swim has excelled in the mind-blowingly odd for years now, with most of that absurdity created by our buddies Tim and Eric, no doubt, but lately, they've bumped their insanity up a notch. If "Too Many Cooks" was just the start of an era of short films almost specifically designed to leave you with a nosebleed as the credits roll...we are in for some spectacular cranial hemorrhaging on into 2015. Here's their latest ultra violent, nightmare fueling short "Unedited Footage of a Bear"...which lead to a lot more than we originally suspected...

Clicking the "Skip this Ad" at the beginning of the madness takes you to the "official" website for the drug being advertised....which is pretty much designed to fuck with you further. Images swim in and out of focus, grow larger, change completely, items you click on simply speed away...all while a squeaky clean, muzac-like tune plays in the background, slowing fading into white noise. Being the patient guy that I am, I kept this rolling and am now staring at an all grey screen with a little...something...sperm-astronaut? ..dancing around on the screen. WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT??!!

Welp the answer was nothing, and not satisfied that all that oddness would culminate in a little dancing astro-sperm, I started exploring the pages source code and came across a section called GAMES. Oh yes..we shall play a game!!! I hit reload and started clicking around. the more I clicked, the faster the page seemed to deteriorate so I figured time was not on my side. In a last ditch effort, I slid my pointer around the page and found the house in the distance might be a playable component. Sure enough, with each click, the house grew bigger..or rather, we got closer. I double clicked to speed things up and off to the house I went. From here, you can explore the house in the short...where...something..happened. A tone plays that is more unnerving in this seemingly vacated house in the suburbs than most horror films that hit the big screen this year. I ventured outside and shot an imaginary gun at some lawn chairs. Found my way back inside and drew on a family photo...

The moments when this game goes silent are far worse than the odd surging tone heard as you explore the house. Waiting for the thing that will jump out at you is far worse than the unease the tone creates. I don't want to ruin any of the surprises...but there are things to be found...creepy things...

Remember: Serious neuropsychiatric events including, but not limited to, depression, suicidal ideation,  suicide attempt, and completed suicide have been reported in patients taking Claridryl. Some reported  cases may have been complicated by the symptoms of Claridryl withdrawal in patients who stopped  taking Claridryl.Depressed mood may be a symptom of Claridryl withdrawal. Depression, rarely including  suicidal ideation, has been reported in moms undergoing a taking Claridryl cessation attempt without medication. However, some of these symptoms have occurred in patients taking Claridryl who continued  to take Claridryl.

All patients being treated with Claridryl should be observed for neuropsychiatric symptoms including changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, and suicide-related events, including ideation, behavior, and attempted suicide. These symptoms, as well as worsening of pre-existing psychiatric illness and completed suicide, have been reported in some patients attempting to quit taking Claridryl while taking Claridryl in the postmarketing experience. When symptoms were reported, most were during Claridryl treatment, but some were following discontinuation of Claridryl therapy. These events have occurred in patients with and without preexisting psychiatric disease. Patients with serious psychiatric illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder did not participate in the premarketing studies of Claridryl.

Advise patients and caregivers that the patient should stop taking Claridryl and contact a healthcare provider immediately if agitation, hostility, depressed mood, or changes in behavior or thinking that are not typical for  the patient are observed, or if the patient develops suicidal ideation or suicidal behavior. In many postmarketing cases, resolution of symptoms after discontinuation of Claridryl was reported, although  in some cases the symptoms persisted; therefore, ongoing monitoring and supportive care should be provided until symptoms resolve.

The risks of Claridryl should be weighed against the benefits of its use. Claridryl has been demonstrated to increase the likelihood of abstinence from taking Claridryl for as long  as one year compared to treatment with placebo. The health benefits of quitting taking Claridryl are  immediate and substantial.
